Agentic AI – the use of a system of interconnected AI agents to complete complex tasks in an orchestrated manner, often by interacting with external tools and environments – is the next step in the deployment of AI. Agentic AI systems can generally behave and interact autonomously to achieve their objectives once the basic rules are established, minimising the involvement of the “human in the loop”.[1]
Agentic AI has the potential to reduce transaction costs, create efficiencies and time savings. But, done incorrectly, or where one or more of the AI agents goes rogue, Agentic AI poses new, and amplifies existing, risks and liabilities.
For our first in-person event of 2026, we’ll explore the legal and compliance issues associated with Agentic AI. We’ll cover: (a) the concept of Agentic AI, how it works and what it means for the traditional technology stack, (b) key legal and compliance risks associated with Agentic AI, and (c) how to manage those risks.
